TENNESSEE ONLINE SEX THERAPY & COUPLES THERAPY

Gabby Jimmerson

At some point, most couples hit a stretch where things feel harder than they used to. Conversations get tense or avoidant. You start to feel more like roommates than partners. Sex can feel pressured, distant, or off in a way that’s difficult to name.

It’s not usually about one big problem. It’s the pattern you get pulled into together.

I help individuals and couples understand what’s happening in those moments. How you reach for each other, how it gets missed, and what happens next. Once that’s clearer, we work on shifting it so connection feels more natural and less like something you have to force.

This can include both couples therapy and sex therapy. Desire differences, sexual anxiety, emotional disconnection, or trying to rebuild after something painful. The focus is not on getting it perfect. It’s on creating something that feels more solid, more honest, and more like you.

I offer online therapy across Tennessee, including Spring Hill, Franklin, Nashville, Murfreesboro, and surrounding areas.

In-person sessions are available in Franklin.

Sex Therapy & Couples Therapy for Tennessee Residents

A lot of people carry quiet rules about relationships: What’s okay to want. What you’re supposed to tolerate. What you don’t talk about.

Those rules don’t always hold up in real relationships.

You might notice the same patterns showing up over and over. Conversations that don’t go anywhere. Mismatched desire. A kind of distance that’s hard to explain but easy to feel.

That’s usually where we start.

I work with individuals and couples who want something different. More honesty. More ease. A way to feel close again without forcing it. This can look like rebuilding after a rupture, working through long-standing tension, or figuring out your relationship to sex and intimacy in a way that actually fits you.

You don’t have to be in a major city to do this work. I offer online therapy across Tennessee, including Spring Hill, Knoxville, Memphis, Chattanooga, and beyond. You can show up from home and still have a conversation that moves things forward.

My Background and Approach

I pay attention to what’s happening between you in real time. Where conversations turn into tension. Where one of you shuts down or pushes harder. Where things get missed.

We slow that down so you can see it clearly and respond differently. That might mean staying in a hard conversation without it escalating, saying what you need in a way your partner can actually hear, or repairing after something lands wrong.

I also hold context. Past experiences shape how you show up in relationships, especially when it comes to sex, safety, and closeness. For a lot of people, that includes high-control religious environments, purity culture, emotional neglect, or relationships that felt unpredictable. We make space for that without getting stuck in it.

My work is grounded in attachment and trauma-informed care, with tools like EMDR when it’s helpful. With couples, the focus is on building a more secure, responsive connection. Less reactivity, more understanding, and a stronger sense that you’re on the same side again.

Online Therapy for Tennessee Residents

Getting to therapy shouldn’t be another thing you have to squeeze into an already full schedule. Between work, kids, and everything else, it’s easy to keep putting this off even when you know something needs attention.

Online therapy makes it easier to follow through. You can log in from home, find a private space, and have a real conversation without adding a commute or rearranging your whole day.

We meet by secure video. It’s the same kind of work you’d do in person. You can talk openly about sex, communication, disconnection, or whatever feels hard to say out loud. A lot of people actually find it easier to be honest when they’re in their own space.

  • You might be asking, what is a sex therapist?

A sex therapist is a licensed mental health professional with advanced training in sexual health, desire, pleasure, identity, and relationship dynamics. As an AASECT-certified sex therapist, I provide a supportive space to explore concerns like low desire, shame, sexual pain, mismatched libido, past trauma, and barriers to pleasure. Our work is collaborative, respectful, and rooted in your pace, not pressure.

My work is rooted in the belief that sexual health is an essential part of overall well-being.
